Boxxy
Hyperactive teenaged girl, cause of a 4chan civil war.
Summary
Boxxy refers to a hyperactive teenage girl who first appeared on YouTube in January 2009. Boxxy's real name is Cait (short for Catherine, or just Catie). There is some controversy to whether or not Cait played Boxxy as an ironic role or if she really was that manic.
Boxxy's videos have been repeatedly hacked and mirrored. BoxxyBabee, the original account, was suspended in December 2009. Boxxy has been stalked and harassed in real life for her videos. She has been harassed by both haters and people who just really, really want to have sex with her. Boxxy made her first reappearance in November 2010, trying to sell an Inuyasha shoulderbag on eBay. This caused a new civil war over the person posing as Boxxy's legitimacy.

Origins
2008, Boxxy made these videos for her Gaia friends. Boxxy is more of a character than a person, with Cait's real personality being much more toned down.
Rise to fame
From January to March, 2009, Boxxy's videos were stumbled upon by some users at i-am-bored.com and 4chan. From here they were incessantly posted on /b/, with half of the /b/tards claiming her to be the Queen of /b/ and half of them getting pissed off. The latter group ddosed 4chan, knocking the site out at least once. Boxxy eventually became a bannable offense. Eventually, creating a thread using her name was wordfiltered out.
Many female anon users tried to spread the anti-Boxxy message by posting nudes of themselves with variations of "Boxxy Sucks" written on their skin.
In early 2010, a video containing an alleged conversation with Catie and Nikki surfaced on YouTube. In the video, Catie claimed that she did not want all the attention lavished upon her; particularly since she felt that Boxxy was nothing to be proud of.
Current status
Boxxy disappeared for almost two years, but she made a return video in November 2010. She also made a full length video in January 2011. Her new video discusses her absence and shows the world what she looks like without makeup. She further reiterates that Boxxy is a character that she acts as. Some have still claimed she is only calmer because she is older. Her newest video is below:

Second Coming
As of recently, she uploaded her previous Boxxy videos to her latest YouTube account and copyrighted them, having all the other Boxxy videos uploaded by others pretending to be Boxxy removed. On June 17th, 2011, Catie made a new YouTube account called "Bodaciousboxxy", where she will be uploading her new Boxxy videos as she still hasn't recovered her original YouTube account. Even though Catie was able to make herself appear like she did in her previous Boxxy video, the video seemed rather lackluster and forced or nothing at all like the real Boxxy. It was also rather sped up compared to the others and didn't include the low lighting like her previous videos did. In other words, she pretty much lost it and most of /b/ is already too focused on their new awkward obsessions such as My Little Pony and Chloe Moretz to care about her. Her legion of die-hard worshipers and haters still cling onto her though, and the presence of a new Boxxy video has caused some uproars in /b/, but nothin too big.
