Summary

Epic Fail Guy is an old meme where imageboard users will draw a stick figure wearing a Guy Fawkes mask and post it on their board of choice; typically /b/. Many posters attempt to tell stories with a series of these drawings depicting EFG failing in various ways. Regularly in these comics, EFG will try to contradict his name by attempting to win at something somehow, but nearly always this will result instead in him failing epically. He is sometimes seen with his son, EFG, Jr. who he teaches in the ways of failing.

Origins

An EFG before the mask

EFG was originally a stick figure who failed 24/7. No one really cared for the first few months, but the meme became huge when he found a Guy Fawkes mask from the movie V for Vendetta. Please note this was a full two years before Chanology came up.

Current status

EFG is now considered to be Old Meme status. There is also a large population of users that think of it negatively, often calling it the cancer that is killing /b/.
