Deletion

Sysops have the ability to delete pages. This should be done in accordance with policy. Special:Delete

Banning

Users who are found to be in violation of policy, or seen as detrimental to the community, can be banned. This can be done at Special:Blockuser.

Protection

Pages that become vandal magnets can be protected. This should almost never be indefinite.

Leadership

Sysops are expected to keep the community on track. This may involve advising users and helping noobs.
